Resume Workshops
New Horizons Network hosts resume workshops on a weekly basis at the Kearney Center in Tallahassee, FL. Florida State University students meet with clients looking for resume assistance and discuss their previous work history, education, certifications/licenses, and volunteer work. After gathering the necessary information, these students assemble the resumes and share them electronically to the clients for future use.

Guided Job Search
Along with creating professional resumes for each client, we also use the workshop time to search for available jobs they may be interested in. Noting their education, work history, and preferences, we create a personalized list of positions that can be applied to online through job search engines such as Indeed. We provide this initial list of jobs with the resume within a week of the workshop date. If requested, we provide additional options as well.

Mock Interviews
Another service we offer clients is assistance preparing for upcoming interviews. Interviews are an important way for employers to assess applicants. We offer standardized interview questions for most general positions as well as tailored questions based off the position of the client’s choice. Specifically, we guide clients on how to approach questions, feedback on their responses, and other tips on professionalism.
